Okay, FURST of all, I wanted to update everyone on the pawsome Legacy Summer Athletic Competition that we hosted during the Olympics.
We had an amazing group of winners! I'm having trouble getting the video to work here, but if you go to LBR's website, you'll see it on the main page! Plus, of course, there's MY fabulous medal-winning shot.
I won the brindle (aka 3rd place) medal in Boxing! Plus... and here's the best part of all... get ready...
We raised $14,694 to help dogs in need!!!!!!!!!!! That's barely $300 short of our goal, and Auntie Sharon said we still might get a few more checks in the mail. WOW!! Thanks so much to all of you who donated or shared information about our event!
I'm also participating in Norwood's Dog Days of Summer Photo Challenge! I missed yesterday, so here's my last foster sissy Vivian showing #13 Hiding Spot.
Look closely, I promise she's on the couch! BOL. Today's is #14 In Costume. WELL! If ever there was a category made just for me, this was it! I am super expert at costumes. When you're this handsome, it's hard not to dress up at every opportunity. Here's just a small sampling of some of my costumes.
I can be a fierce pirate, yar!
Or a dashing sultan. Bring on the harem girls!
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a handsome dog!
I can play baseball too!
Momma thinks men in kilts are super handsome. I guess I'm even more proof of that.
Oh yeah. It's hard work looking this good.
PeeS: Laila said to tell everyone THANK YOU for all the good wishes for her adoption event this weekend! It went well, and she was very charming. LBR doesn't like to adopt straight from the pet fair but schedules a follow-up visit at the adopter's home so the whole family can meet the dog in a little more natural environment. And Laila has a follow-up appointment this Saturday!! Hopefully it'll be the right home for her, but we're really excited just that she has a meeting. Woohoo!
