Roses for Rescue ROCKED!

I hope everyone had a totally pawsome Easter! The volunteers of LBR spent Saturday hard at work at our biggest fundraiser of the year, Roses for Rescue! It's always a long and exhausting day, but it's so worth it!

We have to thank NRH2O Family Waterpark for letting us use their parking lot when our usual location was unavailable this year due to construction. It was a grreat set-up, and we had lots of room for plants and customers!

See how busy they are? That's how it was all darned day! There were so many people who came out to buy amazing roses, geraniums, and ferns. PLUS we had cool doggie stuff for sale and representatives from Cookie Lee jewelry.

After our TV special on Good Morning Texas last week, the nice people at RaceTrac called us up to help too! They donated all sorts of water, coffee, and cold drinks for our volunteers as they worked out in the hot summer sun. (Here's LBR foster Bentley making his selection.) They even ran a "how many pieces of kibble in the bowl?" contest to win a RaceTrac gas card, with all proceeds to LBR. Wow!

It was a really, really amazing day. Everyone worked so hard, and it was such a success. We got LBR's name out to lots of new people, and the best part...

Are you ready????

We made over $25,000 to help LBR!!!!!!! That's a $6k increase over last year, WOW!! That's a LOT of green papers, and it will do so much to help all our boxers in need. We can pay for food, heartworm treatments, spaying and neutering, vaccinations, and all sorts of other medical treatments. Yaaaaaaay!!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped make our day a success. You're all PAWSOME!!!
