Year 5 have been studying rivers and had the wonderful opportunity to gain first hand experience by visiting High Force, a waterfall on the River Tees.
They walked amongst the dramatic scenery along the course of the river until they reached Low Force, a less high but equally dramatic waterfall.
There is no greater way to learn than to explore real situations and investigate first hand. The children who took part in this visit now have the necessary facts and information to have a true understanding of the geographical features of a river.
Thank you Mrs Brown and Mrs Clausen for planning an amazing learning opportunity!
